This exquisite young Weser-Ems stallion won the 2005 Weser-Ems licensing and was the first pony ever to be invited to the Oldenburg Stallion’s Parade where Hilkens Black Delight received a standing ovation and was described as being “as close to perfection as possible” and the most stunning pony they have seen for at least 6 years since his sire, Branduardi M won the licensing. Hilkens Black Delight won his licensing in 2005 and his first crop of foals is due in 2007, including the very first British bred colt. now competing succesfully in ridden classes Hilkens Black Delight at 4 years old was recently reserve champion at the invitation-only Berlin Stallion Show which only comes around on a four-year cycle.

Hilkens Black Delight won his approval test at Weser-Ems in 2005. He was the first pony to be invited to the stallion parade in Oldenburg where he received a standing ovation. He is described as being "on the verge of perfection".
He is described by the approval committee as: one of the best ponies they have seen in 6 years (his sire: Branduardi M also won his approval).
The Oldenburg magazine had nothing but praise for Hilken's Black Delight: "The beautiful black stallion delighted the public with his model, his spectacular locomotion with power. In jumping he shows the qualities of a top pony. His maternal and paternal origins have produced great names of famous ponies.

In 2009, his first crop of sons came forward for the licensings, three of whom were licensed in the north of Germany, one following in his illustrious father's footsteps by also becoming licensing champion. He now has successful daugters and sons is represented in 2012 at the Bundeschampionate. Two of his sons are young ridden prospects at Blackington Stud and are great characters, with huge potential for ridden classes of the future.
Many products are classified as Elites, Excellents or Very Good in the 4, 5 and 6 year old Classic Tests and scored over 120 in Dressage, Jumping and Eventing such as:
